One of the world’s most luxurious resorts will be ready to welcome guests in 2024. It is located on the Greek island of Skorpios, formerly owned by the famous billionaire Aristotle Onassis and later by his daughter. The island is now owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev. He is known to have invested about 400 million euros in the development of the resort. The businessman had previously purchased the island from the Greek magnate’s heiress, Athina, for $120 million.

The Greek authorities approved the construction of the luxury tourist complex back in late December 2019, and its completion is anticipated in 2024. The cost of a vacation in the VIP Exclusive Club will be 1 million euros per week. For that amount of money, you could rent an entire island in the Ionian Sea.

There are plans to cover Skorpios with vineyards. It will also feature an amphitheater and a yacht marina. Mr. Rybolovlev’s family also plans to live on the island from time to time, and the island will be closed to the public during these periods. The personal fortune of Rybolovlev and his family is estimated at $6.4 billion (397th place in Forbes’ rating).
